FANUC and NOCTI Robotics Certifications

National Certifications for Robotics and Advanced Automation

FANUC America and NOCTI have developed national certification assessments that allow students and workers to document their knowledge and applied skills in industrial robotics and advanced manufacturing.

These credentials support secondary, postsecondary and workforce-development programs preparing learners for careers involving robot operation, programming, simulation, integrated vision, troubleshooting and collaborative robotics.

Connect hands-on FANUC robot training with nationally recognized assessments for operator, technician and collaborative robotics skills.

Written and Applied Assessments

Operator Level

Operator credentials focus on robot safety, operation, frame setup, fundamental programming and ROBOGUIDE simulation.

Technician Level

Technician credentials address more advanced programming, troubleshooting, integration and 2D iRVision skills.

Collaborative Robotics

The Collaborative Robot Operator credential provides a pathway for documenting knowledge related to collaborative robot operation and applications.

The Collaborative Robot Operator assessment provides a credentialing pathway for learners developing skills related to collaborative robot operation, programming and applications.

Schools interested in this credential should confirm the current assessment blueprint, required equipment, instructor qualifications and testing requirements with FANUC or NOCTI.

Written Assessments

Written assessments measure a candidate’s technical knowledge and understanding of robotics concepts, procedures and applications.

Applied Assessments

Applied assessments require candidates to demonstrate practical skills through hands-on performance tasks.

A school may offer one or both assessment types depending on its program, equipment, instructor qualifications and testing capabilities.

FANUC Certified Education Robot Training programs combine classroom instruction, simulation and hands-on robot labs. Depending on the selected credential, preparation may include:

  • FANUC Robot Operations curriculum
  • HandlingTool Operation and Programming
  • ROBOGUIDE and HandlingPRO simulation
  • Hands-on FANUC robot laboratory activities
  • Robot safety and Dual Check Safety instruction
  • End-of-arm tooling and material-handling projects
  • 2D iRVision instruction for technician-level pathways
  • Instruction delivered by an appropriately qualified instructor

Certification Requires an Assessment

Purchasing FANUC equipment, completing a course or participating in a robotics program does not automatically award a certification. Candidates must meet the applicable preparation and assessment requirements established for the selected credential.

Assessment availability, fees, instructor requirements, testing accounts and credentialing procedures are managed through FANUC, NOCTI and participating education providers. Schools should confirm current requirements before implementing a certification pathway.
