Teach Industrial Pump Skills Hands-On
DAC Model: 275-128D

Vertical centrifugal pumps are commonly used throughout process industries to transfer liquids while minimizing the amount of floor space required by the pump installation. Industrial maintenance technicians must understand their construction, operating principles, component relationships, and maintenance requirements.

DAC Worldwide’s Vertical Centrifugal Pump Dissectible (275-128D) is constructed from an actual industrial centrifugal pump assembly. It provides realistic field, classroom, and laboratory training in the disassembly, inspection, and reassembly of a vertical, in-line centrifugal pump.

All primary components and design features are retained. The pump is mounted on a heavy-gauge, formed-steel baseplate and support assembly, allowing learners to explore the design, operation, construction, and maintenance of this common type of industrial pump.

Hands-On Industrial Pump Maintenance Training

The dissectible features an actual compact, close-coupled, in-line vertical centrifugal pump with a NEMA motor. Common 1-1/2-inch x 1-1/2-inch x 7-inch pump configurations are typically selected for industrial training relevance.

The pump is disassembled, cleaned, restored, and refinished before being prepared for training. Interior and exterior surfaces are powder coated or painted where appropriate, and plated replacement hardware is supplied when necessary.

A replacement maintenance parts kit allows learners to work with common consumable components, including gaskets. Three formed-steel parts trays with protective liners help learners organize components during disassembly, inspection, and reassembly activities.

Training Applications

An abbreviated Use/Exercise Guide provides three illustrated, hands-on exercises that guide learners through:

  1. Vertical centrifugal pump disassembly.
  2. Inspection and identification of pump components.
  3. Correct pump reassembly procedures.
