Submersible vertical turbine pumps are used to move water and other liquids from wells, tanks, sumps, and below-grade locations. DAC Worldwide’s Submersible Vertical Turbine Pump Dissectible (275-125) is constructed from an actual industrial pump and prepared for classroom and laboratory training related to process pump operation, construction, inspection, and maintenance.
The industrial pump has been restored, repainted where necessary, and mounted on a heavy-duty, 7-gauge formed-steel baseplate. Primary components and features are retained, and replacement hardware is provided where necessary.
Technical training is most effective when learners can work with equipment representative of what they will encounter on the job. This dissectible gives learners realistic experience identifying, inspecting, disassembling, and reassembling industrial pump components.
The trainer includes a 1/4-horsepower centrifugal pump with an inlet strainer. A wet-leg demonstration tube fabricated from clear PVC pipe helps learners visualize fluid behavior and explore important pump installation and operating concepts.
An applicable installation and maintenance manual from the original equipment manufacturer is also included when available.
