In addition to industrial-relevant training, the Skill Boss Logistics is the required assessment device for three of MSSC’s Certified Technician – Supply Chain Automation (CT-SCA) certifications: Equipment Maintenance (CTSCA-EM), Equipment Repair (CTSCA-ER), and Network Repair (CTSCA-NR). Individuals who earn all three certifications receive a full “Automation Master” recognition award.
Built upon the Manufacturing Skill Standards Council (MSSC) well-established Certified Production Technician (CPT) Certification, the CPT+ Skill Boss program is designed to prepare certificants with the next generation skills to work in a computer-driven, data-intensive advanced manufacturing workplace.
The centerpiece of this new program is a transformational training device, invented by Amatrol, that enables MSSC to offer hands-on training and assessment as an enhancement to its signature CPT training and certification system. The “Skill Boss” is described as a computer-controlled machine that performs a wide variety of functions aligned with 55+ skills drawn from the MSSC’s National Production Standards.
Skill Boss is a fully-functional, tabletop-sized mechatronics system designed to assess over 60 performance-based, industry-relevant skills. The Manufacturing Skill Standards Council (MSSC), a non-profit, industry-led, training, and certification organization, along with Amatrol, the leader in skill-based training systems, developed Skill Boss as an assessment tool, based on industry-defined and federally-endorsed standards.
Amatrol’s Tabletop Mechatronics is a portable, durable, affordable learning system that forms a fully automated line to teach real-world mechatronics skills.
This heat exchanger unit was a custom request, made to be portable. Unit built and filmed by Bayport Technical.
Infrastructure development across the United States continues to drive strong demand for skilled heavy equipment operators, with workforce needs projected to grow steadily over the next decade. Training programs are expanding to meet this demand, creating new opportunities for students pursuing careers in construction and earthmoving industries.
Simlog Personal Simulators for construction trades programs have played a key role in launching hundreds of new Heavy Equipment Operations (HEO) programs, providing accessible, simulation-based training that builds foundational operating skills before students transition to real machinery.
Digital Laser Material Processing (TM) or DLMP (TM) is how we describe laser cutting, laser engraving and laser marking. These processes can be performed on an almost limitless number of materials using Universal Laser System technology.
BOFA’s AD 250 fume extraction and filtration system has been designed to help provide a cost-effective solution for light-duty applications. This compact system is ideal for use in schools, sign-making workshops, small-scale industrial environments and light laser coding applications.
