Uninterruptible Power Supply
An Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS) ensures continuous, reliable, and high-quality power for critical operations and infrastructure. Without a properly maintained UPS system, facilities such as hospitals, manufacturing plants, data centers, and public institutions risk costly power disruptions and potential safety hazards.
This immersive virtual reality training guides participants through the correct procedures for safely shutting down a UPS system and placing it in an electrically safe condition for maintenance. Learners gain practical experience in risk assessment, safety compliance, and procedural accuracy before working on live equipment.
What You’ll Learn
The primary objective of this course is to provide trainees with the knowledge and skills necessary to safely operate and maintain UPS systems.
- How to complete a Job Safety Analysis (JSA)
- Determine whether the work environment is safe
- Select appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
- Inspect PPE prior to use
- Perform proper Lockout/Tagout procedures for a UPS system
- Verify that a UPS system is fully de-energized before maintenance
This simulation reinforces critical electrical safety procedures while strengthening understanding of power continuity systems.
