Ebulliometers
Pignat’s EEA series ebulliometers are precision instruments designed for the study of liquid-vapor equilibrium in binary mixtures. These units are ideal for higher education institutions, chemical engineering programs, and research labs focused on thermodynamic analysis. The EEA/1000 provides manual experimentation under atmospheric pressure, while the advanced EEA/2000 enables operation under both atmospheric and reduced pressure conditions with integrated instrumentation and computerized control.
Students and researchers can explore ideal and non-ideal mixtures—including azeotropic, partially miscible, and non-miscible systems—while constructing isobaric phase diagrams. The systems support theoretical concepts such as Dalton’s and Raoult’s laws, and include real-world applications like calculating the number of theoretical plates required for rectification.
