Discontinuous (Batch) Distillation
Designed for chemical engineering education, the DIS/1000 is a compact yet sophisticated system for studying the principles and variables of batch distillation. Ideal for university-level instruction and advanced technical training, this glass-constructed unit enables users to monitor and analyze the influence of reflux ratio, heating capacity, and mixture composition on distillation performance.
The system features a glass spherical boiler, internal reflux system, and a column with six perforated plates, allowing students to investigate temperature distribution, vapor-liquid equilibrium, and mass balance. With integrated instrumentation including six Pt100Ω temperature probes and a flowmeter, the DIS/1000 offers precise control and real-time monitoring—making it a robust tool for exploring distillation yield, productivity, and process optimization.
