DAC Worldwide’s Diaphragm Pump, Pulsa Dissectible (275-170) is a restored, full-size industrial pump designed for hands-on process pump training in classrooms and laboratories. The dissectible helps learners explore the construction, operation, inspection, and maintenance of a positive displacement, diaphragm-type pump.
Diaphragm pumps use a reciprocating diaphragm to draw fluid into the pump chamber and discharge it under pressure. This operating principle makes them suitable for metering and transferring chemicals and other process fluids in applications where dependable, controlled flow is required.
An industrial Pulsa pump is selected for workplace relevance, restored, repainted, and mounted on a heavy-gauge modular steel baseplate. Primary features are retained, and replacement hardware is installed where necessary to support repeated instructional use.
The Diaphragm Pump, Pulsa Dissectible gives learners direct experience with industrial pump components they may encounter in chemical processing, water treatment, manufacturing, and other process industries. Students can examine component relationships while developing familiarity with pump inspection, maintenance, and reassembly procedures.
The unit includes a clear PVC wet-leg demonstration tube and a 1/4-horsepower centrifugal pump with an inlet strainer. An applicable installation and maintenance manual from the original equipment manufacturer is also provided when available.
The dissectible is mounted on a 7-gauge, formed-steel baseplate suitable for benchtop use or installation on compatible DAC Worldwide workstations and storage products. Where necessary, exposed surfaces are finished with a high-durability urethane coating to withstand frequent classroom and laboratory use.
