Upgrade your Amatrol Hydraulics Training!
Amatrol offers many upgrades to the Hydraulics Bench Learning System to fit your training needs!
Basic Hydraulics Learning System
Within the 85-BH curriculum, students will begin studying the physical principles of hydraulics and how hydraulic mechanisms are used in real-world applications. From this building block, students begin constructing hydraulic circuits, which gradually increase in difficulty and number of industry-standard components as the curriculum goes along.
Intermediate Hydraulics Learning System
This option adds the ability to teach level 2 hydraulic components and system applications. Students learn industry-relevant skills related to these new topics including how to operate, install, analyze performance, and design hydraulic systems...
Advanced Hydraulics Learning System
This upgrade covers a range of topics such as types of hydraulic motors (external gear, orbiting gerotor, roller vane, etc.), hydraulic formulas such as calculating theoretical pump flow rate given displacement, and types of hydraulic conductors, filtration methods, and reservoirs.
Double Sided A-Frame Bench with 2 Hydraulic Manifolds
Turn a 2 Student System into a 4 Student System
Maximize limited training space by providing an area for hydraulic panels on both sides of the learning system. The hydraulic power unit provides hydraulic fluid flow to both sides. When precise flow rates and measurements are required, the system has the ability to limit the flow to one side. Panels can be easily removed and positioned as necessary to facilitate the completion of the students’ tasks.

Basic Hydraulics Learning System (85-BH)
Because hydraulic power is used in everything from automotive brakes to industrial robots, the skills taught by the 85-BH Basic Hydraulics System can open the doors to careers in various fields, such as manufacturing, transportation, agricultural, and construction. The 85-BH introduces the fundamentals of hydraulic principles, such as pressure and flow, while simultaneously teaching industry-relevant hydraulic skills; this signature Amatrol approach to curriculum reinforces both theory and practice, which produces a well-rounded understanding of the topic. As an example, after completing this training system, learners will not only be able to operate, install, design, and troubleshoot basic hydraulics for various applications, but also understand concepts like flow rate versus cylinder speed and pressure versus cylinder force.
The 85-BH includes gauges, manifolds, cylinders, valves (relief/sequence, pressure reducing, check, directional control), flow meter, and hydraulic motor. These components are all industrial quality not only to ensure durability, but also to help learners become better prepared for what they will encounter on the job. All Amatrol products are made from top-notch materials and carefully crafted (hand-welded, painted, and silk-screened) to create tough, attractive, well designed learning systems that facilitate learning and will serve teachers and students for years.

Intermediate Hydraulics Learning System (85-IH)
Amatrol’s Intermediate Hydraulics learning system (85-IH) introduces advanced hydraulic components (pilot-operated check valves, two-position directional control valves, telescoping cylinders, etc.), explains how each works, and then shows how they relate to real-world applications in elevators, punch presses, backhoes, and many more. This approach to curriculum is an Amatrol signature: reinforce both theory and practice to produce a well-rounded understanding of the topic. Learners will be able to understand concepts like pressure intensification and cylinder regeneration while also being able to operate, install, design, and troubleshoot hydraulic components.
The 85-IH includes directional control valves, relief valves, a flow control valve, a check valve, and an accumulator. Amatrol learning systems use industrial-grade components displayed on hand-welded, painted, and silk-screened panels, and workbenches made from top-flight materials. This precise attention to quality and detail ensures a tough, visually appealing, user-friendly design that will last for years and help learners gain experience with components they’ll actually see on the job.
The skills and principles offered in 85-IH build on the fundamentals taught by the Basic Hydraulics learning system (85-BH), but also lead to additional, more advanced learning systems such as Advanced Hydraulics (85-AH) and Electro-Hydraulics (85-EH). The 85-AH trainer teaches learners about hydraulic performance analysis and maintenance, while the 85-EH (which is used in several exercises with the 85-IH trainer) introduces electrical relay control of hydraulic systems.

Advanced Hydraulics Learning System (85-AH)
Amatrol’s Advanced Hydraulics learning system (85-AH) covers a diverse range of topics such as types of hydraulic motors (external gear, orbiting gerotor, roller vane, etc.), hydraulic formulas such as calculating theoretical pump flow rate given displacement, and types of hydraulic conductors, filtration methods, and reservoirs. This signature Amatrol philosophy of teaching theory while providing hands-on training fortifies both concept and practice, resulting in learners who can build a freewheeling motor circuit as well as explain how fluid compressibility affects hydraulic system operation.
The 85-AH includes oil samples, photo tachometer, return line filter, and viscosity gauge. Amatrol learning systems use industrial-grade components and real-world instruments to ensure learners gather experience they would normally only accumulate on the job. This attention to detail and quality is why Amatrol is the world’s leader in skills-based, interactive technical learning. The 85-AH also includes a Student Reference Guide and an option to purchase an interactive multimedia version to the printed curriculum. Amatrol’s multimedia curriculum includes video, 3D animations, voiceovers, and interactive quizzes.
