Students learn both basic and advanced applications using the powerful Allen-Bradley CompactLogix 5300 PLC, a PanelView Plus terminal, and networks throughout the curriculum.

The 990-PAB53 System comes with a mobile carrying case, workstation mounting panel, master control relay circuit, Allen-Bradley CompactLogix 5300 Programmable Controller, RS Linx and RS Logix 5000 software, a PanelView Plus terminal, an Ethernet Switch, I/O Simulator, five application circuits, student curriculum, instructor’s assessment guide, and installation guide. Students will study industry-relevant skills including how to operate and program PLC systems for a wide range of real world applications.

Rich Applications: Basic through Advanced

The 990-PAB53 Learning System enhances learning by featuring a wide array of real world applications to allow students to actually see their programs control real systems. In addition to a discrete I/O simulator with discrete switches and indicators, the 990-PAB53 includes application circuits and components for thermostatic temperature control, analog temperature control, reversing constant-speed motor control, variable speed motor control with feedback, and stepper motor homing and commissioning. These circuits include basic and advanced applications starting with discrete I/O projects and extending to projects involving analog I/O.

Modern Curriculum with PanelView Plus Terminal and Networking

The 990-PAB53 curriculum has been designed to teach modern PLCs as they are used today, with the PanelView Plus terminal and networking introduced in the basic lessons and applied throughout the curriculum. Students cover a wide variety of program commands beyond timers and contacts, such as stepper motor control, PWM control, and analog control. n features of the Allen-Bradley CompacyLogix 5300 PLC. Featuring a wide range of analog, discrete, data, and networking commands, students will quickly develop relevant and critical skills to be job ready in modern industry environments.

Portable Workstation

The 990-PAB53 is a mobile training platform that can be used to deliver training at multiple facilities. The 990-PAB53 features a portable case with wheels and a handle for easy transport. The cover is quickly removed to enable the case to sit firmly upright on a table surface for student use. The cover also locks so the workstation can be safely stored when not in use.

The 990-PAB53’s applications can be expanded by connecting to other workstations using the built-in plug-in interface. Examples include Amatrol’s Process Control System, Fluid Power Learning Systems, and Mechatronics, just to name a few. The 990-PAB53 is also expandable by connecting to other PLC modules to enhance the learning capabilities.

Options for Expanded Learning

The 99-FTSAB53 Portable PLC Troubleshooting Learning System – Allen-Bradley AB5300 can be added to your 990-PAB53 for an additional cost. The 99-FTSAB53 option focuses on PLC troubleshooting and features 35+ electrical faults.
